The hotel is exceptionally comfortable and quirky, has exceptional staff who tendered to our needs in a professional manner. The units are updated, neat with three single beds. They serve lots of meals, the food we tried was awesome. This is a venue go-to for Hilo!

The atmosphere was cute and filled with
Wonderful local music that added so much charm to our evenings. The proximity to the airport made it a bit noisy, especially during the early morning hours.

the hotel is a good value - it is an old building but well kept. The front rooms have a nice ocean view with balcony. Being in Banyan Drive it is a nice walking area.
No elevator - must carry luggage up stairs

The complimentary breakfast was very good and the staff were very pleasant.
The bathrooms needed upgrading. We were cold at night but had only a thin blanket with no extras.

The Scp provided clean and spacious accommodations, with a well-maintained pool that was perfect for unwinding after busy workdays. The staff demonstrated really good service, quickly assisting with requests . The complimentary breakfast featured a selection of fresh pastries and fruit, convenient for busy mornings. The hotel's location near downtown made it easy to access local restaurants and shops.
Some noise from nearby flights during the day.

The check in time was like 12 noon. I arrived 7 in the morning and could not find a place to rest up before check in time. The hotel must advance the the customer that they can't check us in before actual check in time.
When I got to the restaurant nobody attended to me while I was given a seat for almost 20 minutes.

The location was nice. It is just a short trip from/to the airport. The staff was really friendly and eager to help you in all questions that arised during the stay.
If you are noise sensitive the proximity to the airport could be a bit of a problem but there are not too much planes on Hilo Airport (maybe one per hour) so that at least it will not be a constant noise.
